Why choose our service station
Understanding clutch operation, not template approach
We analyze pedal behavior, slippage nature and gear shifting to accurately determine the cause of malfunction.
Solution based on actual vehicle condition
We select optimal repair option depending on wear and operating conditions, not by the principle of "replace everything".
Correct installation and adjustment
We follow proper centering and adjustment so the clutch works smoothly and without jerks.
Operation check after repair
We test the clutch in various load modes for confident starting and clear gear shifting.
How to tell the clutch needs diagnostics and possibly a repair
The clutch wears gradually, so the driver does not always notice the first signs of a problem straight away. The most common signs are:
Slipping. The engine revs rise, but the car accelerates sluggishly or barely responds to the accelerator.
A burning smell. It appears when pulling away or in city traffic with frequent stops.
Difficulty changing gear. A gear will not engage, or it engages with a crunch and a jolt, which also points to a fault in the system.
Hissing or grinding. When the pedal is pressed, it most often means a worn release bearing.
A change in how the pedal feels. If it has become too soft, sinks underfoot or, on the contrary, very stiff, it can point to a fault in the hydraulic drive or the mechanical cable.

Clutch repair process in Warsaw at Doc Serwis
Clutch repair is a very labour-intensive job. It needs specialist equipment and experience with the transmission. At Doc Serwis the whole process is split into clear, consecutive stages:
- 01
Diagnostics. The clutch, flywheel and hydraulic or cable drive are checked. Wear of the disc, the condition of the pressure plate and the release bearing are assessed. The findings lead to a conclusion, and the list of work is agreed
- 02
Gearbox removal. The gearbox has to come off to reach the clutch. This is one of the most labour-intensive stages and needs the right sequence of steps and lifting equipment
- 03
Removal of worn parts. The clutch disc, pressure plate and release bearing come off. The flywheel is checked at the same time and, if needed, machined or replaced
- 04
Fitting new parts. The new components go on, and the disc is centred with an alignment tool. How accurately it is centred has a large effect on how smoothly the system works after the repair
- 05
Assembly and adjustment. The gearbox goes back on, the clutch drive is adjusted and the pedal travel is checked. On hydraulic systems, leaks of the working fluid are checked as well
- 06
Testing. The car is checked on the road in different conditions, from a smooth start and hard acceleration to shifting through every gear
