Doc Serwis offers two main levels of tuning - Stage 1 and Stage 2. The choice depends on the condition of the car, whether mechanical upgrades are fitted, and what the owner wants.

Stage 1
Software tuning with no work on the mechanical side. It suits cars in stock specification and is the starting point for most customers. Diagnostics are required before the work, because if the car has faults or technical problems they have to be fixed first. Stage 1 costs less, and the procedure itself takes a few hours.

Stage 2
It is done on cars that already have, or are being fitted with, upgrades such as a sports exhaust, a better intake, an upgraded intercooler or other parts. Because the hardware at Stage 2 already flows more air and fuel, the engine software is set up for the new parameters. The result can be a substantially higher level of power and torque than Stage 1. Stage 2 costs more, and the effect is noticeably larger.

How chip tuning works at Doc Serwis

Initial diagnostics. Before any tuning, the technicians read faults from every control unit and check the main engine parameters. If a fault is found that could affect the result or safety, the customer is told before the work starts.

Reading and saving the factory file. The original program is always kept. That way, at the customer's request or if it is needed, the car can always be returned to the factory settings.

Individual software setup. The specialist does not upload a ready-made file from a database. The settings are chosen for the make, model, year, the condition of that car and what the owner wants. This is the stage where the individual file profile is built.

Writing the new file. The prepared program is written to the engine control unit with specialist equipment. The risk of damaging the unit is minimal when the equipment is right and the work is done by a qualified person.

A check of how the engine runs. After the file is written, the car is checked. The technicians look at the engine parameters, confirm there are no faults and that every system works correctly. The car goes back to the customer only after stable operation is confirmed.
